A cost effective card based system for controlling access to personal phone calls and internet use.

Products | X2 Public Payphones, Webphones & Kiosks. |  Card Controlled Quota System for phone calls and internet access.

The CCQS is a simple and cost effective card based system for controlling access to personal phone calls and internet use in closed user group environments such as schools, colleges, hospitals, care homes, factories, oil rigs, prisons, cruise ships etc.

The system can be used with NET200 payphones for telephone calls or with the NET800 and NET1000 kiosks for calls, internet access, e-mails and SMS services. Access to limited resources can be controlled and fairly shared out across a group of users.

The whole process is easily administered from a PC based management system

Each user is provided with an access card that looks like a credit card. Each card is unique and is granted a period of access time by the management system. When a user wants to make a phone call or use the internet, the user inserts and removes the card using the integrated reader on the terminal. The terminal quickly contacts your management system to see how much time that user has allowed and grants, or denies access. When the user is finished, the terminal again contacts the management system with details of what services have been used and for how long. The system keeps track of usage and once all the allocated time has been used up, the user can no longer access the service.
A system account refresh can be scheduled as required to reset the allocated time allowed on all the accounts back to their default access limit. The cards are therefore continually re-used. Lost, stolen or damaged cards can easily be replaced. The old card number is simply barred on the system. The very low cost cards have no value in themselves; all the information is stored on the management system.

1) Programmable default access time limit.
2) Configure the frequency and time of the refresh.
3) The access time limit on individual cards can be modified for special circumstances (e.g. emergency at home).
4) Specify unrestricted internet sites and emergency and free call numbers. No card is required to access these services.
5) Powerful internet site access filtering is also available.
6) Specified Internet sites and telephone numbers can be barred. Access will be blocked.
7) Card blocking: Individual cards can be blocked for example if lost or stolen.
8) Alternative 'rates' can be programmed so that some numbers/sites provide more access time than others.
9) 'Rate bands' can be set up to allow longer/shorter service durations at certain times of day, day of the week or during holiday periods.
10) Extensive usage reports to check on individual records, identify busy periods etc.
11) The whole system can be extended to create a pre-pay card facility based on one-time use cards.
